Malteaser slice :D (full recipe)

This is my favorite traybake ever, they're so yummy and really easy to make :)

For this recipe you will need:

4oz marg
1 tablespoon of syrup
6oz cooking chocolate
10 oz digestives
6oz malteasers

Crush the digestives and mateasers. you can crush them as much as you like, i like leaving bigger bits of malteasers because it gives them a nice crunch :)

Melt the marg and syrup together in a pan and add the malteasers and digestives. Mix well :)

Press the mixture into a tin.

Melt the chocolate and pour over the top of the mixture. Put the tray into  the fridge and chill for 2-4 hours, you can just leave it in the fridge over night if you're making it for the next day  :)

These are great for parties or bake sales or even if you're just having a few friends over. Happy baking :Dx

Fruit Loaf (full recipe) :D

Makes three :)

For this recipe you will need:

2 cups of sugar                        4 cups of flour
2 cups of water                        2tsp soda bicarb
115g marg                               4 eggs (beaten)
4 cups of mixed fruit

To start off place the sugar water marg snd fruit in a pan and melt, simmer for two minutes and turn off the heat. Add the flour, bicarb and mix well, add the eggs and beat well.

pour equally into three greased and floured tins (put grease proof paper on the base of the tins as well)

Bake at 160 (150 for a fan oven) for one hour and ten minutes.

If you don't like christmas pudding then these are a great alternative. all you have to do is add mixed spices to the recipe and steam it in bowls for three hours :D

Chocolate Fudge Triangles :D

Once again, this is from "The Cookie and Biscuit Bible", its also probably the most unhealthy thing i've even made, but i don't care because it tastes sooo good :D
Sorry the photos are kinda rubbish but it was around 10:30pm when i was doing most of the recipe so the lighting wasn't amazing.

This recipe uses a lot, (a lot!) of chocolate and condenced milk, so if you aren't really a dessert person or you don't like really sweet things i probably wouldn't recomed these for you. Fortunatly i love sweet things so these were great for me :)

For the fudge you can use hazelnnuts if you like, i didn't because i'm allergic and i don't think it affected the the triangles in a bad way at all. remember to keep stirring the chocolate and condenced milk the whole time you're melting it, or it goes kinda weird.

If you plan on making this make sure you have a lot of time because you do have to chill it for 15 mins, then add another layer, cill again ect. and at the end you can chill it for 2-4 hours as the recipe says but i just left it in the fridge over night and it was fine. :)

once again there's mooore chocoalte, (fine by me :) make sure you don't melt the chocolate for to long after all the lumps are gone because it goes a little grainy if you do.

Make sure that once you take your fudge out of the fridge to cut it that you don't take to long because it goes soft really quickly. Then once you're done put it back in the fridge until you need it. if you like you can cut it smaller than the recipe calls for and use them as little sweets. someone also talked to me about making them as wedding favours.

I would recomend this recipe to anyone with a sweet tooth :) happy baking :Dx

Double Chocolate Cookies :D

So like i said in my last post, this recipe and the next one i'll be reviewing are from the "cookie and buscuit bible"

Ooooh my goodness i'm so in love with this cookie recipe. it's really really simple and they take hardly any time to make :)

I'm totally into using brown suger for cookies right now, it gives them a nicer colour and they taste more toffee-ish. I also like using the rolled oats, it looks kinda weird until after they're cooked but it does give them a really nice texture :)

The recipe calls for plain chocolate and white chocolate but i can't eat plain chocolate so i just used milk and it turned out fine but you could used chopped nuts or whatever you like.

Another good thing about this recipe (and all the recipes from this book i've tried out already) is that it actually makes the amount of cookies that it says it will. I hate it when i have to make a second batch of something because it didn't make enough the first time.

Presentation isn't very important with these cookies which i love, they look really nice and rustic and all you have to do is spoon them onto the tray :)

I would recomend this recipe to pretty much anyone, its really quick and easy to make and they taste sooo good :) thanks :Dx

Chocolate and Cinnamon Tuiles :)

This recipe is also from "The Cookie And Buscuit Bible" by Catherine Atkinson with recipes by Joanna Farrow and Valerie Barrett.

I have to say i was a little nervous making tuiles for the first time and it did take me a couple of tries to get the hang of it, but overall i think it turned out okay.

Ever since i did the cinnamon challege (terrible idea) i've been avoiding cinnamon for a while but seeing as this recipe involves chocolate as well i thoight it would be okay :)

This recipe also requires folding in flour and seperating egg whites which i normally find pretty difficult (because i'm really clumsy) but i actually did pretty well, just take your time:)

I used a little more Cocoa powder than the recipe called for after trying a couple with the right amount because i wanted the flavour to be a little stronger. I was a little worried about the cinnamon being overpowering but it actually worked really well, not very strong, just enough to taste it.

It took me a few tries to make the tuiles thin enough to go crisp  after i took them out, but if you make them to thin they burn quickly.

<<< i think this was my best one :)

I think  i'll try this recipe again soon just to see if i can get it right the first time :) i would recomend you try this recipe when you have plenty of time for trial and error. but once you get them right they do taste really yummy :D x
